Arbour, Ernest (1934-2017)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday May 2, 2017 at the age of 82 years. Son of the late Albert Arbour and of the late Laurencia (née Poirier) Arbour. Loving husband of Henriette Arbour (née Rivest) of Lavigne. Dear father of Gilles (Carole) of Hanmer and the late Ronald. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Ronald, Renée, Alex and by his great-grandson Cédrick. Also survived by his brothers Marcelin (Emilienne) of Barrie, Victor (Marielle), Jean Paul (Estelle) both of Lavigne and by his sister Lorraine Cosgrove (Hughey) of North Bay. Predeceased by his siblings Yvette, Edgar, Emériand, Anita, Blanche, Sinaï, Berthé and Dollard. Ernest was retired from Inco (Vale) after 40 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his four wheeler. He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus in the 3rd and 4th Degree in Lavigne. The family will receive friends in Notre Dame de la Visitation Church, Lavigne, Saturday June 3, 2017 after 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am.
