Turner, Melvin (1944 – 2016)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the age of 72 years. Beloved son of Léona (née St. Germain) Chartrand of Sturgeon Falls and of the late Lyola Turner. Cherished husband of Magella (née Larochelle) Turner of Sturgeon Falls. Loving father of Melvina Turner (Bruce) and Michael (Sheila) both of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jessica, James, Erika and by his great-grandson, Kyle. Survived by his two sisters, Hélène DuLac (late Gabriel) and Lana Filion (Richard Quenneville) both of Thunder Bay. Melvin will be missed by his furry friend Milo. He joyfully joins his two other furry friends Tiger and Sunshine. Melvin was the owner/operator of MTC Sandblasting and Painting. The family will receive friends at Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 9 to 11 am. A funeral service will follow in the Funeral Home’s Chapel, at 11 am. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the North Bay and District Humane Society would be appreciated. (Cheques only).
