Ducharme, René (1927-2017)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury, Monday, May 22nd 2017 at the age of 90 years. Son of the late Joseph Arthur Ducharme and of the late Elmire Ducharme (née Dénommé). Husband of the late Aline Ducharme (née Asselin). Loving father of Lise Poirier (Luc) of Warren, Bruno Ducharme (Colette) of Chelmsford and of Denis Ducharme (Denise) of Alberta. Predeceased by his infant daughter Gisèle. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 8 grandchildren and his 10 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his grandson Guy. Dear brother of Gertrude Boteau (Guy) of Bowmanville and Carmen Cazabon (late Michel) of North Bay. Predeceased by his brothers Rosario (late Gladys) and Aurèle as well as by his sisters Germaine Osborne (late Don) and Jeannette Waechter (late Ben). Many thanks and appreciation to the staff and residents of Southwind Retirement Residence, to Dr. Crichton and associates as well as Dr. Singh and the staff on the 4th floor of the North Tower of Health Sciences North. Mr. Ducharme was a longtime resident of Warren and of Wahnapitae. He was a hardworking, family oriented man who was very determined and dedicated in all of his endeavors. The family will receive friends at Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Warren, Friday, May 26th 2017 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday friends may call after 9 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 27th 2017 at 11 a.m. in St Thomas Church, Warren.
