Séguin, Gertrude (née Legault) 1927-2019
The family announces with sorrow her passing at the Au Château in Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday March 12, 2019 at the age of 92 years. Wife of the late Hubert Séguin. Daughter of the late Octave Legault and of the late Anita Séguin. Gertrude is survived by her godson Pierre Ouellette (Nathalie Gagnon) of Timmins, sister-in-law Gisèle Legault (late Patrick) of Sturgeon Falls, by her nephew Michel Legault of Sturgeon Falls, and her niece Josée Robichaud of Casselman. Great Aunt of Andrée and Chanèle of Sturgeon Falls and of Maxime and Francis of Casselman. She will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by the Gagnon family, and her nieces and nephews of the Séguin family. Predeceased by her sisters Rita Mayer (late Georges), Pierrette Ouellette (Late Gilbert) and by her brother Patrick Legault. Gertrude worked most of her life in retail sales mainly at Michaud et Frères on King Street. A sincere thank you is sent out to the doctors, nurses and staff at Au Château for the compassionate care given to Gertrude and to the Near North Palliative Care Network Volunteers for their devoted and loving support. A celebration of Gertrude’s life will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Palliative Care Suite at the Au Chateau would be greatly appreciated.
