Poirier, Richard (1957-2019)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Saturday February 16, 2019 at the age of 62 years. Son of the late Joseph Poirier and of the late Yollande (née Larocque) Poirier. Father of Alain Poirier (Nicole) of Barrie and of Yves Poirier (Chantal) of Corbeil. Grandfather of Chelsea, Abigail and Nicolas. Richard is also survived by his brothers and sisters Francine Delorme (Patrick), Jocelyne Vallières (Claude), Rose Charron (Guy), Sylvie Dauphinais (Charles) all of Sturgeon Falls and Sylvain Poirier (Julie) of Field. Predeceased by his baby sister Estelle. Richard was an avid hockey fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Poirier family will receive friends at the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Saturday evening, February 23rd, 2019 after 6 pm. A celebration of Richard’s life with words of remembrance will follow at 8 pm. To honor Richards memory, please wear a hockey jersey as you attend.
