It is with heavy hearts that the Laframboise family announces his passing in Sturgeon Falls, Friday January 11th 2019 at the age of 78. Son of the late Hormidas Laframboise and the late Irène Laframboise (née Leblanc). Loving husband of 56 years of Carmen Laframboise (née Aubin). Treasured father to Natalie (Luc Larocque) of Verner, Babe (Lacey) and Caroline (Frank Desbois) from Sturgeon Falls. Special pépère to Renée (Vincent), Erik (Emilie), François (Mélanie), Yves (Maxine), Dominique (Carl), Stéphanie, Serge and Jasmine. Also loving pépère to his great-grandchildren Téya, Aiden and Noah. Dear brother of the late Georgette (late Richard Levac), late Noëlla (late Manuel Menier), late Suzanne (Arsène Savard), Pierrette (late Maurice St-Amand), Maggie (Paul St-Jacques), late Armand, late Jacques, late Roger (Thérèse) and late Aurèle.
Ernest was a long-time member of Local 800, where he worked as a pipefitter for 48 years. During this time, he spent several years as a supervisor for Allaire Mechanical on many local jobs. Growing up, he could be found on the ice, between the pipes, stopping pucks as a fierce competitor. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, hunting and especially fishing with friends and family. He looked forward to his happy-hour at the Tavern, sitting at the round table with his long-time friends. He treasured time with his family, where he could share his love for life, his love for the outdoors, his knowledge, his dreams and his passions. He will be sadly missed but will forever remain in our hearts.
Funeral arrangements in care of Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home. As per his wishes, he will be laid to rest at a later date. Donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation (Hospice Room) or to Au Château would be greatly appreciated (cheques only).
