The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at the age of 90 years. Daughter of the late Peter Paradis and of the late Yvonne Paradis (née Chartrand). Wife of the late Theodore Johanson and of Arthur Goslin of Sturgeon Falls. Dear mother of Carol Chevrette (James) of Sudbury and Diane Johanson (James Baxter) of North Bay. Special aunt/mother of Sharon Bellmore (Victor). Beloved step-mother of Connie Findlay (J. Albert Argue) of Dunrobin and Debbie Coady of Carp. Predeceased by her son Donald Johanson. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Ian (Monique) and Christopher, her step-grandchildren Chad (Abby), Linden and Dakota as well as her great-granddaughter Kalin and step great-grandchildren Calahan and Jack. Ghislaine was a loving and caring auntie to many nieces, nephews and to all neighborhood children. Sister of André Paradis (Gina) of Chatham. Predeceased by her siblings Guy (Liz of Virginia), Patrick (Claire of California), Gerry (Marie of Michigan), Roméo and Pierrette Crowe (late Wilfrid). A very special thanks goes out to all of the wonderful caregivers at the Long Term Care (Pavillon) at the West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls. She loved her Pavillon angels as well as Dr. Henstridge and she left them with many fond memories. Ghislaine was a woman of strong faith and of personal convictions. She actively participated in her church ministry that focused on caring for others. The family will receive friends at St. Andrews United Church, Sturgeon Falls, Saturday June 16th, 2018 after 10 am. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11 am. The reception will follow with fellowship and sharing of memories in the church hall. Cremation arrangements in care of Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the West Nipissing General Hospital Foundation (Long Term Care) or to St. Andrews United Church would be appreciated.
