Fortin, Gérard (1936-2018)
Peacefully at home in Alban, surrounded by his family on Thursday January 25, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Beloved husband of Gertrude Fortin (née Giroux) of Alban. Son of the late Anna (Simon) and of the late Alpha Fortin. Loving father of Roger, Jean Guy (Joanne) both of Noelville, Jo-Anne Ethier (late Marcel) of Sudbury and Lise Malette (Hervé) of Sturgeon Falls. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 7 grandchildren and by his 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters Gilberte Benoit (late Georges) of Sudbury, Rita Robert (René) of Sturgeon Falls, Lorraine Shonz (Moise) of Vancouver, Jeanne D’Arc Lafond (René) of Toronto and by his brother Armand (Diane) of Chelmsford. Predeceased by his brothers Léo, Ludger, Fernand, Omer, René and by his sister Gracieuse. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. Cremation services provided by the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls.
