Obituary for David Van Exan
Van Exan, David (1934-2017)
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the age of 83 years. Son of the late Walter Duke Van Exan and of the late Hazel Anger. Loving husband of Pearl Van Exan (née Davis) of Sturgeon Falls. Father of Chris Davidson of River Valley and of Linda Roach (Larry) of Lively. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kim and Jennifer and by two great-grandchildren. David is survived by his brothers Robby of Ottawa, Rusty of Sudbury and by his sister Linda of Alberta. Predeceased by his brothers Jimmy, Harry, Jack and Tommy. The former owner and operator of Sandy Beach Camp in River Valley, David was also well known and respected in the fur trade business. A private funeral service with interment of cremated remains will be held in the spring. Funeral arrangements in care of Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
