The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls, Saturday March 1th 2014, at the age of 79 years. Daughter of the late Lorenzo Descoteaux and of the late Marguerite (née Carré) Descoteaux. Predeceased by her husband Frederick Hanneman. Loving mother of Joanne St Amour (Michel) of Verner. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her granddaughter April (James) and by her 2 great-grandchildren Abrielle and Jackson. Predeceased by her grandson Paul. Also survived by her brother Roger Descoteaux (Huguette) of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by her brother Raymond Descoteaux (Simone of River Valley). A kind hearted, down to earth, family oriented woman, Rollande, "Matante Nan" could often be found in the kitchen making pies and preserves from the berries she would pick. She loved to crochet, and most people that knew her have a piece of her hard work in their home today. She looked forward to road trips to visit family near and far and enjoyed stopping at garage sales and casinos along the way. She was cherished by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her, and will be greatly missed by all. The family will receive friends in St Jean Baptiste Church, Verner, Saturday, March 15th 2014 after 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00.
