The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls on Saturday July 28th 2018 at the age of 99 years. Daughter of the late George & Gusta (née Buckwald) of Surgeon Falls.
Married in 1937 to the late Walter Smith (deceased March 10, 2008) of Cache Bay.
Beloved Mother of Lola Bremner (late Douglas) of Dundas. Predeceased by her daughter Emily (Robert Desbois of Cache Bay). A SPECIAL Grandmother (Nanny) to Erica (Wayne) of Australia, Jason (Jennifer) of San Diego, Connie Laferriere of Oshawa, Ricky and Dean of Cache Bay and Kevin of Sturgeon Falls. GREAT GRANDMOTHER of Jaxon, Teah, Hailey, Tyler, Sierra, Justin, Karine, Amber and Wade. Predeceased by her siblings Bertha, Roy, Earl (late Jean), Donald (Sharon), Grace (late Russell) and infant boy not named. The family will receive friends at THEORET BOURGEOIS FUNERAL HOME, Sturgeon Falls on Wednesday August 1st, 2018 from 7 - 9 pm and Thursday August 2nd from 2-3 pm. The funeral service will be held in Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday August 2nd at 3 pm with internment at Union Cemetery to follow. Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated (cheques only).
