Roy, Luc (1985-2018)
The family announces with sorrow his sudden and unexpected death in Sudbury, Friday, June 22nd, 2018 at the age of 33 years. Beloved father of Zachary and Dominick Roy and step-dad to Cora. Best friend and husband of Jennifer Kilner of St. Charles. Dear son of Michael Roy (Rhoda Roy) and Linda Roy (Roger Laforest). Loving brother of Francois Roy (Amie Nicole Roy) and Mathieu Roy (Katie Joudrey) and step brother to Jesse Nieforth and Jordyn Nieforth. Special uncle to Nicolas, Lindsay and Tyson. Loving grandson of Henry Roy. Luc will be missed by many close aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
Luc was a dedicated worker, working at North Mine for SCR mining where he had many a good friend and close co-workers. He loved to hunt and fish whether it be +25 deg. or -25 deg., he was there catching his limit and reeling in the big one, when he wasn’t working on the farm and tending to the animals with Jen.
Luc will be fondly remembered for his giggle and his huge dimples that went along with his contagious smile. Always willing to lend a hand and up for any kind of shenanigans that someone suggested, especially when it came to his brother Matt.
The family will receive friends at the St. Charles Community Center, 40 Casimir Rd, St. Charles, Thursday, June 28th, 2018 from 2p.m. to 5p.m. and 7p.m. to 9p.m. Cremation and funeral services in care of Théorêt Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls. Donations to the trust fund set up for the Roy children would be appreciated. (Cheques accepted at the Theoret Bourgeois funeral home or at the Caisse Populaire St. Charles.)
