Lavallée, Mathilda (née Gervais) 1926-2018
The family announces with sorrow her death in Sturgeon Falls Wednesday, February 7th 2018 at the age of 92 years. Daughter of the late Omer Gervais and of the late Nellie (née Ouellette) Gervais. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Frederick Lavallée, . Loving mother of Donald (Rita) of Hagar, Rita Lapalme (Steve) of Welland, Madeleine Violette (Armand) of Warren, Diane Dumont (James) of St Charles, Suzanne Dumont (Gerry) of Val Caron. Predeceased by her daughter Lorraine Gervais (late Rhéal). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her abundance of nieces, nephews, grandchildren great and great-great-grandchildren. A woman of strength also survived by her brothers Armand (late Florianne) and Hermas (Thérèse) both of Welland. Predeceased by her brothers Aurel, Marcel, Johnny and by her sisters Aurore, Gabrielle, Cécile, Hélène and Emma. Her active participation within the community, and her dedicated love for her family throughout her lifetime will truly be missed beyond measure. Many thanks and appreciation to Dr. Behamdouni and staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital for their dedicated and compassionate care for Mathilda. The family will receive friends at Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, 17 Rutland Avenue, Warren, Monday February 12th, 2018 from 11:00 am. until 3:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial will follow at 3:30 pm. in St Charles Borromée Church, St Charles. Donations to St Charles Borromée Church fund would be appreciated (cheques only).
