Goulard, Claude (1942 – 2017)
At the age of 74 years, surrounded by his family, Claude passed away at the West Nipissing General Hospital, Sturgeon Falls, after a long and courageous battle against Cancer. Born in Markstay, Claude was the son of late Léo Goulard and of the late Rolande (Rivet). Predeceased by his wife Rollande Dennis (née Benoit). Proud FATHER of Kim Kruchelnicki of Lethbrigde – AB, Mike (Sylvie Claro) of Sturgeon Falls, Lynne Préseault (Ricky) of Field and Renée Woodruff (Barry) of Morinville – AB. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Marc, Jenna, Taylor, Daniel, Amy, Destinie, Erika, Chad and Andrea. Dear brother of Nicole Goulard of Montreal - QC, Pierre Goulard of Oka – QC and Louise Goulard of Montreal – QC. Predeceased by his sisters, Michelle Goulard and Huguette St-Pierre. Cherished companion of Thérèse Chartrand.
Claude was totally dedicated to his family, for whom he had an unconditional love. He also had a strong involvement with the family business, Goulard Lumber LTD. The rock and strength of his family, his home was always filled with love and joy, no matter the circumstances. Tough times brought out more love. Claude enjoyed golfing, traveling but his pride and joy was his garden that produced excessive amounts of beautiful flowers and vegetables. The family wishes to extend their sincere acknowledgements and thanks to the Nursing staff and employees of the West Nipissing General Hospital, Dr Klère Bourgault, Gisèle McMurray – Nurse Partitionner, ParaMed especially to Kim Hughes, to the employees of Health Siences North and to all of his many friends in the Community whom by gestures of kindness showed their support to Claude and his family. The family will receive relatives and friends at Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Saturday, May 20, 2017 after 1pm. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm, in the Funeral Home Chapel. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the West Nipissing General Hospital would be appreciated. (Chèques only).
