Provost, Lucien 1924-2017
The family announces with sorrow his death in Sturgeon Falls, Friday May 12, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Son of the late Eugène Provost and of the late Alma Bergeron. Loving husband of 69 years of Anna Provost (née Savard) of Sturgeon Falls. Dear father of Denis of Field, Nicole (Gabriel) of Alban, Michel (Joanne) of Brigden and Gilles (Colette) of Belle River. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and his 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 2 great- granddaughters. Also survived by his sisters Marcelle Lauzon (late René) and Isabelle Portelance (Emile) all of Timmins. Predeceased by his sister Lucille Demers. Lucien was retired from local 527 Plumbers Union, having worked in the Windsor area for many years. After his retirement, he lived in the Niagara Fall region, then moved to the Sudbury area and finally settled in Sturgeon Falls. He had a great love and passion for horses and the outdoors. The Provost family will receive friends at the Théoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday May 16, 2017 after 10 am. The funeral service will follow at 11 am. in the funeral home chapel.
