Archambault, Huguette (née Valade) 1937–2017
It is with great sorrow that the Archambault family announces the passing of Huguette on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the age of 79. Daughter of the late Céléphat Valade and late Albertine Gingras. Beloved spouse of Jacques Archambault of Sturgeon Falls and dear mother of Monique (spouse Guy), Roch (spouse Lin) and Joanne (spouse Ron). Sister of Jean Hill (spouse Howard). Predeceased by her sisters and brothers Laurette, Gérard, Rolland, Yvette, Jacqueline, Françoise, Gabrielle, Jean-Noël, Claude, Jean-Guy and Madeleine.
Huguette had a long career in education. At Ecole secondaire Franco-Cité, she was a teacher, worked in the guidance department and lastly was the assistant principal. During her retirement, she was an avid golfer, bridge player, knitter and volunteer, while actively participating in the Sacré-Cœur church community.
The family is grateful to the friends, nurses and doctors who cared for her at home and at the West Nipissing General Hospital, along with the North Bay Regional Health Centre and the Northeast Cancer Centre. The family invites friends and relatives to a funeral mass on Saturday, May 20 at 11 am at Sainte-Thérèse d’Avila church in Cache Bay. Donations can be made in her memory to the Sacred Heart Parish reconstruction project.
