The family announces with sorrow his death in Sudbury, Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the age of 78 years. Son of the late Knut Wicklander and of the late Toni (née Carlson) Wicklander. Loving father of Trevor of North Bay and Owen of Kipling. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren, Kiersten, Cody, Hayley and Dmitri. Survived by his two sisters, Annie Crites of Toronto, Iris Sauvé of Oshawa and by his brother, Eddie Wicklander of Wahnapitae. Predeceased by his brothers, Maurice, Hilding, Carl and by his sisters, Agnus Wicklander, Thelma Ackerland and Evelyn Belanger. The family will receive friends at Theoret Bourgeois Funeral Home, Sturgeon Falls, Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm. To honor and respect Olaf’s life and values, please attend in casual attire. A private burial will follow. Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated. (cheques only).
